This trip on the south part of the island takes you up to the highest and most extensive plateau we have here in Madeira, Paul da Serra. Here you are surrounded by the Laurissilva forest (World Heritage by UNESCO since 1999). A jeep tour in this luxury forest is like visiting a natural museum.
From Paul da Serra we start to go down to the village of Ponta do Pargo, located on the extreme west coast, where you can find the famous lighthouse of the village.
Following the road, we make stops at Paul do Mar and Jardim do Mar, those places are fishing villages very well known for being one of the best places to surf here on the island. Passing by the sandy beach in Calheta, our final stop is at Ponta do sol very famous for its good weather and for the best bananas in the island.
